I. Global Collaboration 

I.1 World Health Organization

Prof. Charles Anawo Ameh, Ph.D., Co-Director of the WHO Collaboration Center for Research and Training in Maternal and Newborn Health, as well as representatives from the Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics programmes of Universitas Diponegoro and Central Java Health Office, signified intention to support Current health programmes, including for the purpose of addressing  maternal and child mortality in Brebes Regency and other areas in Indonesia’s Central Java Province. Through its academic and research aim, the interfered Parties formulated systematically identifying region-specific health challenges and evidence-based interventions that are contextually responsive, locally relevant, and tailored to the unique needs and conditions of each community.

I.2  CDC-UNICEF with Universitas Diponegoro

Rebecca D. Merrill, PhD, and C. Yekti Praptiningsih, MDDs, MEpid from CDC Indonesia and   Dr. Armunanto and Bobby Marwal Syahrizal, M.Sc. from UNICEF Indonesia along with Dean of Faculty of Public Health of Universitas Diponegoro accompanied by Departements representatives had meeting dedicated to the exploration of international support for health of Mother and Baby. At previous, Universitas Diponegoro and UNICEF have officially Collaborated by signing MoU in 2016. 

In Addition to The collaboration, these three parties also immersed in two major strategic priorities: the planning of the MNRH Program and the development of an epidemiological preparedness and response curriculum at Universitas Diponegoro. Through this initiative, CDC and UNICEF were expected to contribute technical expertise and institutional support to strengthen UNDIP’s capacity in maternal and child health, epidemiological preparedness, and public health response.

I.3 Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia 

Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) have formalized their institutional partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement provides an important framework for strengthening bilateral cooperation in higher education, research, academic exchange, capacity building, and other mutually beneficial academic activities. 

The collaboration came into actualization that Universitas Diponegoro through the Faculty of Medicine took a part in the academic activities conducted  by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The participation of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro delegation in the 2nd UKM Surgical Symposium 2026, held at the Faculty of Medicine Complex, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) was represented by two lecturers from Universitas Diponegoro. The symposium provided a valuable platform for academic and professional exchange, bringing together experts and practitioners in the field of surgery and medical sciences.

The event was officially inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UKM, Prof. Dr. Mariana, together with the Pro Vice-Chancellor of UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razman Jarmin. The symposium was attended by academics, medical specialists, and researchers from various institutions, fostering opportunities for knowledge sharing, professional networking, and the development of future academic and research collaborations between institutions.

II. National Collaboration

II. 1 Ministry of Health of Indonesia

Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of the Indonesian Government in advancing national health development through collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. This commitment was further reinforced by UNDIP’s participation as a Partner University in the Ministry of Health’s Main Teaching Hospital Provider (Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Penyelenggara Utama/RSPPU) Program. In January 2026, UNDIP entered into a cooperation agreement to support the provision and development of specialist and subspecialist physicians. The signing ceremony was witnessed directly by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, along with relevant officials and stakeholders.

This collaboration represents a concrete manifestation of UNDIP’s support for the National Health Transformation Agenda, particularly in strengthening the health workforce and enhancing the capacity, quality, and accessibility of referral healthcare services. Through this strategic partnership, UNDIP contributes its academic expertise, medical education capacity, and institutional resources to help address the national need for highly qualified specialist and subspecialist physicians, while supporting the Government’s broader efforts to build a more resilient, equitable, and high-quality healthcare system.

II. 2 Dharmais Hospital of Cancer

On February 18, 2022, UNDIP and Dharmais Cancer Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding research and development in robotic cancer care. The MoU is valid for five years, spanning from February 18, 2022, to February 17, 2027.

A primary focus of this collaboration is the research and development of robotic cancer surgery. The partnership aims to develop cancer care services that are more effective, efficient, and targeted, while prioritizing patient safety and health.

The collaboration involves UNDIP representatives—including the Faculty of Medicine and UNDIP researchers and faculty members—working alongside medical professionals and researchers from Dharmais Cancer Hospital. This initiative demonstrates the integration of engineering, medicine, robotic technology, and clinical care.

III. 3 Universitas Indonesia

Universitas Indonesia (UI) and Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) have established a strategic partnership in the field of medicine, particularly through collaboration between their respective Faculties of Medicine. The partnership is primarily focused on strengthening UNDIP’s capacity to develop and establish specialist and subspecialist medical education programmes. Through academic mentoring and institutional knowledge exchange, UI shares its expertise and experience in managing specialist medical education, including academic governance, curriculum development, and the implementation of residency programmes.

To further consolidate the strategic partnership between Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) and Universitas Indonesia (UI), the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Diponegoro (FK UNDIP) undertook a benchmarking visit to the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia (FK UI) on 28 November 2025. The initiative was designed to strengthen FK UNDIP’s institutional preparedness for the establishment and development of specialist and subspecialist medical education programmes. Through this engagement, FK UNDIP gained valuable insights into FK UI’s established practices in residency education, academic governance, curriculum design, faculty management, and the administration of specialist training programmes.

III. Local

III. 1 Semarang City Health Office

Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has established a strategic partnership with the Semarang City Health Office to strengthen the integration of higher education, healthcare delivery, and community health development. This collaboration encompasses a range of initiatives, including the advancement of healthcare services, professional and academic capacity building, field-based learning, health assessments, and community-oriented health interventions.

The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK Undip), through its Pharmacy Study Program, conducted a licensing assessment for the DipoCare Educational Pharmacy on April 1, 2026, in Tembalang, Semarang. The assessment involving the Semarang City Health Office, the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) was a strategic partnership to support academic services through practical education. The field evaluation was conducted to determine DipoCare’s preparedness in fulfilling the regulatory requirements for the establishment of an educational pharmacy.

III. 2 Public Health Center at Tembalang District

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has established a strategic partnership with Tembalang Public Health Center (Puskesmas Tembalang) to strengthen primary healthcare services and promote community well-being. This collaboration integrates UNDIP’s academic expertise, research, and community engagement with the practical implementation of public health programs at the local level.

Universitas Diponegoro, in collaboration with the UNDIP Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Unit (K3L) and Tembalang Public Health Center, conducted a Posbindu health screening programme on 25 June 2025 at Building F, 1st Floor, FPP UNDIP
