Student and Staff Hunger Interventions

Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), in collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), distributed 1,000 nutritious food packages to students on Friday, November 22, 2024 at four locations on the Universitas Diponegoro campus. The symbolic assistance of “Warteg Mobile Universitas Diponegoro” was received directly by the Vice Rector I at the Tembalang Campus Mosque. The Director of Student Affairs and Alumni, Edy Surahmad, stated that this program is a form of UNDIP’s concern for students through the provision of nutritious lunches, which complements the previous campus Foodtruck program. Universitas DiponegoroHe hopes that this kind of distribution can be sustainable and followed by other institutions. A student recipient expressed his gratitude for the complete package and hoped that this program would continue.

On April 1, 2024, the SDGs Center of Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Diponegoro Campus Mosque, distributed 250 lunch boxes at the Universitas Diponegoro Campus Mosque as part of its regular social action during the month of Ramadan. This initiative is a continuation of the annual program from 2020–2023 and was implemented by a team consisting of 15 members, lecturers, and students as donors. According to the Activity Coordinator, Dr. Diana Nur Afifah, the activity not only strengthens the spirit of sharing but also supports the achievement of SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by ensuring that the congregation has access to food when breaking the fast. Through this simple action, the UNDIP SDGs Center affirms its commitment to sustainable development and campus social responsibility in the middle community.
