Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) and PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) have launched a strategic collaboration to strengthen community-based economies with a focus on farmers and MSMEs. These efforts include capacity building for local farmers, particularly those producing papaya, melon, and watermelon, providing market access through Indomaret outlets, and providing assistance with applied research and community service programs supported by UNDIP. The collaboration not only opens distribution opportunities but also strengthens the direct supply chain from farmers to retailers for more competitive prices, increased productivity, and higher competitiveness. Through this synergy between academia and industry, UNDIP and Indomaret hope to create a sustainable model for local economic empowerment, empower farming communities and MSMEs to advance, and support science and technology-based economic transformation in Indonesia.
