Energy-Efficient Renovation and Building
UNDIP has an energy efficiency policy which covers building retrofit and efficiency energy standard for new buildings. The policy refers to National Policy (UU) No 28 Year 2002 and Government Regulation (PP) No 36 Year 2005 regarding Regulation for Government Building. This regulation states that all new buildings must follow the government rule. In University itself, the policy has been in place since 2016 and has been updated in 2023. The policy highlights on efficiency of energy use and energy mix target of the university, including the subjects and set of targets to be achieved. In 2024, UNDIP resulted in 45,490 KWhs energy from renewable resources. These sources come from solar panels, hydropower, combined heat chiller, biogas and biodiesel. The production of the renewable energy has doubled than last year.
