Water reuse measurement

UNDIP measures the reuse of water through its wastewater treatment plants (WWTP/IPAL) located across campus. The university monitors the volume of treated wastewater that is reused for non-potable purposes such as plant irrigation, toilet flushing, and fish ponds. According to the 2024 Water Audit Report, UNDIP has successfully recycled more than 80% of its total wastewater, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable water management. The university aims to further enhance its water reuse capacity toward full optimization in the coming years as part of its continuous sustainability improvement efforts.
