Policy Addressing Poverty

Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) plays an active role in alleviating extreme poverty and strengthening food security in Indonesia. Through collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK), UNDIP supports the national target of eliminating extreme poverty by 2024. UNDIP scientists also encourage the use of local food, the application of modern agricultural technology, and improvements to national food policies as sustainable solutions. Furthermore, UNDIP implements concrete programs such as farmer empowerment, stunting education, and the application of agricultural plasma technology in Central Java through KKN activities and regional partnerships. These efforts reflect UNDIP’s commitment to bridging research and field implementation to achieve community economic independence and support inclusive and sustainable development.
