Coastal Disaster and Mitigation (CoREM)

CoREM UNDIP has a vision of to be one of the leaders in the coastal disaster mitigation and rehabilitation studies internationally. CoREM actively does research, training, and field survey producing technology products, scientific publications, and trainings related to coastal disaster mitigation and rehabilitation. CoREM has currently four laboratories for coastal modeling, engineering, remote sensing, and coastal mitigation and rehabilitation. There are 20 Researchers and Staffs in COREM.

CBIOM3S (read: cebiomes) UNDIP is the center of bio-engineering focusing on the development of health technology products that works on the development of health technology products, of which several products have been made: bionic hand mechanical hands, club foot therapy devices for babies, braces for patients with osteoarthritis on the knee joints, artificial feet, Parkinson’s disease diagnostic tools, exo-glove it for stroke patients, and many other. There are 45 researchers and staffs in CBioM3S.

Center for Plasma Research (CPR)

CPR UNDIP is a research center of plasma and plasma applications for food, agriculture, textile, materials, medical, and energy, including environmental plasma and gasification plasma. Through CPR, plasma technology applications have been successfully developed and applied to fields with strategic objects. One of the objects is “Zeta Green”, a commercialized air purifier to clean the air surrounding and remove smoke, virus, bacteria, and fungi innovated by CPR. Moreover, CPR has produced medical ozone generators, ozone generators for horticulture, and marine ozone systems. There are 35 CPR Researchers and Staffs in CPR.

Center of Marine Ecology and Biomonitoring for Sustainable Aquaculture (CeMEBSA)

CeMEBSA UNDIP is a center of research in marine ecology and sustainable aquaculture, including the use of water ecosystem both marine and land water ecosystem, by applying biomonitoring, biosafety and biosecurity in regular aquaculture. The aim of research activity in CeMEBSA is improving water quality in line with applying green aquaculture practice for production capacity and maintaining capacity of the environment. Membrane Research Center (MeRC)
MeR-C UNDIP, as a center laboratory for membrane development, focuses on membrane technology development, its application and water treatment. Several products have been produced by MeR-C like self-produced aquadest, industrial waste water treatment, sugar refinary and also chitosan as sided product. Mer-C target to become the center of gravity for all about membrane technology in Indonesia and create new technology for eco green technology. There are 24 Researchers and Staffs in MeR-C.

C-BIORE UNDIP focuses on biomass and renewable energy and develop biotechnological process technology, that committed to the generation of products and solutions for the sustainable bioenergy, food and environment. Universitas Diponegoro has an exceptional commitment to bioscience and engineering. At the interface of these disciplines, bioprocess engineering has the potential to provide new solutions for biomass and bioproduct, which requires a multi-disciplinary approach; a synergy of chemical engineering, biochemistry and biotechnology. C-BIORE develops bioprocess technology for converting biomass to bioenergy as well as healthy food ingredients, biopolymers, pharmaceuticals, and biopesticides. Center for Urban and Regional Resilience Research (CURE)

CURE UNDIP do activities including studies, mentoring, and advocacy activities that consider four main elements of resilience as a multi-sectoral issue, various urban and regional disturbances closely related to the disaster aspect, adaptations related to climate change impacts, and the importance of accommodating the principles of sustainability. Understanding the shock and stress conditions of regions and cities, the CURE roadmap is divided into two approaches, namely in terms of policy (Policy based approach) and technocratic (Technoratic based approach), to realize the resilience of regions and cities. CURE involves experts from various fields of expertise, especially at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro to address multi-sectoral resilience issues. There are 10 researchers and staffs in CURE.

Center on Cluster for Paleolimnology (CPalim)

The Cluster for Paleolimnology (CPalim) initiated by Diponegoro University (UNDIP) carry out the research that produces publications, intellectual property rights, books, policies, and technology in Paleolimnology that are effective and efficient by prioritizing local culture and resources, in particular conserving lakes and optimizing their use in an integrated and sustainable manner. Paleolimnology is the science of inland waters that utilizes physical, chemical, and biological information stored in sediments to reconstruct past environmental conditions, so that it can be used as a basis for developing freshwater management strategies (Soeprobowati, 2019). There are 17 researchers and staffs in CPalim.

Laboratory of Plasma-Catalysis focuses research on heterogeneous catalysis and chemical reaction engineering. Located in third floor UPT Laboratorium Terpadu Universitas Diponegoro,, Laboratory of Plasma-Catalysis is part of Chemical Reaction Engineering & Catalysis (CREC), Department of Chemical Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro. Laboratory For Engineering Design and Tribology
The Engineering Design and Tribology Laboratory of Diponegoro University is a research center in the field of tribology and surface technology, with a primary focus on providing research and technology solutions related to lubrication technology, boundary lubrication, tribochemistry, and the development of functional surfaces. Carrying the concept of environmentally friendly green lubrication, this laboratory offers sustainable and effective tribology solutions for various engineering systems. This tribology laboratory also contributes to the development of design methodologies, tools, and techniques to create more robust, inclusive, and successful products in the market through the New Product Development (NPD) approach. There are 15 researchers and staffs.
