Local Start Up Assistance
UNDIP provides assistance to local communities that support the start of financially and socially sustainable businesses through education or relevant resources through various programs such as training workshops and access to technology created at the university. Among them in 2024, UNDIP held a discussion entitled “Facing the Water Crisis: Challenges and Solutions for Sustainability in Indonesia” to discuss various challenges related to the water crisis in Indonesia and solutions that can be taken to overcome them. This discussion involved various parties such as Paramadina University, LP3ES, INDEF, and KITLV Leiden. UNDIP has conducted several initiatives in Demak, Grobogan, Blora, and Jepara areas to address the water crisis, including desalination, sanitation, stunting management, and ecotourism. In addition, UNDIP also collaborates with Saradan MSMEs aiming to assist Saradan Tempe Crisps MSMEs in facing challenges such as marketing, shipping, and labor decline.
