The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro (FK UNDIP) held a talk show entitled “Local Food for Stunting Reduction” as part of the 63rd Anniversary series on September 29, 2024. The event was held after the campus health walk, featuring speakers such as Dr. Karina Widowati, MPH (Nutrition Officer at UNICEF) and Dr. Diana Nur Afifah, S.TP., M.Sc. (Professor of FK UNDIP), discussing how consuming local food can improve national nutrition and increase malnutrition such as stunting, wasting, obesity, and anemia. The activity emphasized the urgency of returning to a healthy diet, fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and involved innovations in local food ingredients such as biscuits with tuna fish flour and soybean flour from UNDIP research. Through this initiative, FK UNDIP and IKA MEDICA strive to increase public awareness of the importance of nutritious, safe, affordable, and sustainable local food to create a healthier and stronger generation.
