SDGs Center Undip, held a weekly talkshow in collaboration with Pro Alma Radio 97.7 FM in the framework of popularizing and localizing SDGs in the Undip campus and its related contents.

The program titled 977 SDGs Corner hosted by Pro Alma announcer, Fariz Maghriza. 977 SDGs Corner is broadcast every Friday, 16.00 – 17.30 by inviting experts from the SDGs Center UNDIP.
This inaugural 977 SDGs Corner talkshow took place on September 25, 2020 with the theme of Sustainability Campus by inviting Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto M.Sc. (Vice Rector IV) and Prof. Dr. Denny S Nugroho (Head of UNDIP Rating Office) as interviewees.
Sustainability Campus according to Prof. Ambar means that all campus elements must “think” and “act” sustainably, and the spirit of realizing that sustainability must be manifested in various things at Undip. Prof. Denny stated that Undip needed recognition for what Undip had achieved regarding the SDGs, therefore Undip tried to get a place in university rankings. Undip’s commitment to realizing the SDGs through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education was explained by Prof. Ambar by mentioning Undip’s achievements such as Undip’s efforts to preserve the natural environment where Undip is located, build buildings using the concept of green and sustainable building, making waste management that is more environmentally friendly, embodiment of gender equality in determining leadership and other human resources, and the implementation of Community Service activities that directly address community problems such as malnutrition, public health, community education, and many other community problems. These Community Service Activities are in line with SDG goals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 17. Then Prof. Denny stated that the SDGs opens the eyes of the campus world that the campus has a big contribution and a positive impact on society and the environment. According to Prof. Denny, SDG goals 14 and 15 can also be realized through Undip Research and Community Service activities which focus on the preservation of the coastal areas of Java.
In closing, Prof. Denny stated that the SDGs ae aimed at preserving what is on this earth, both humans and the natural environment. The SDGs also direct the development that can be carried out to be sustainable not only for the present, but also for the future of our children as the next generation.
