Universitas Diponegoro organized a free medical treatment program for hundreds of residents in Teluk Awur Village, Jepara, as a form of community service to the local community to improve and promote community health and well-being. The team of lecturers and students from UNDIP’s Faculty of Medicine provided general health examinations, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as free health consultations.This outreach program also included health education on healthy lifestyles, nutrition, and prevention of non-communicable diseases. The activity aimed to raise community awareness about the importance of early disease detection, particularly for coastal residents who have limited access to health services.This program is one of various forms of UNDIP’s commitment to making real contributions to improving the quality of life and well-being of local communities through accessible and sustainable health services.

Universitas Diponegoro, through LPPM, implements a responsive health program for disadvantaged communities affected by flooding at Asshodiqiyah Islamic Boarding School, Gayamsari, Semarang. The program targets vulnerable groups who have lost access to health services due to the disaster, including 500 santri (students) of the pesantren and residents around Rusunawa Sawah Besar. Interventions include providing basic needs to maintain hygiene (basic food supplies, bathing equipment), as well as free medical services targeting 300 residents with the involvement of doctors, nurses, and students as volunteers. The participatory approach, by involving students in the Community Service Volunteer program, not only delivers direct health services but also raises awareness about the importance of emergency health responses for disaster-affected populations.
