Current Collaborations with Health Institutions
Active collaboration between Universitas Diponegoro and the Semarang City Government in the Climate-smart Village program based on One Health demonstrates an integrative approach to addressing public health challenges at the local level. The program targets reductions in priority zoonotic diseases such as dengue fever, leptospirosis, and malaria. This cross-sector collaboration examines the impacts of climate change, including tidal flooding on environmental health and develops pilot models that can be replicated in the Semarang area. This community-based approach results in increased community capacity and the adoption of healthy-environment practices, while also laying the policy foundations for sustainable management of climate-affected areas.
The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Diponegoro, continues to strengthen its national collaboration network to enhance the quality of education, services, and innovation in the health sector. The signing of a tripartite cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Medicine UNDIP, Dr. Kariadi Central General Hospital, and Dr. Ben Mboi Hospital in East Nusa Tenggara represents a tangible form of interprovincial collaboration aimed at knowledge sharing, expanding training access for specialist doctors, and improving health service quality for communities across Indonesia. This synergy reflects UNDIP Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to supporting national health advancement through strategic partnerships with health institutions across the country.
Universitas Diponegoro and UNICEF have established a strategic collaboration to improve health and well-being in Central Java. This partnership focuses on developing health intervention programs, such as behavior change communication strategies for stunting prevention that highlight six key behaviors and improve nutrition literacy. Together with the media, both institutions strengthen public awareness on malnutrition prevention (https://javamedia.id/wujudkan-kesehatan-ibu-dan-bayi-di-kabupaten-cilacap-puslitkes-lppm-undip-dan-unicef-indonesia-selenggarakan-workshop-analisis-data-agregat-maternal-perinatal-death-notification-mpdn/). Other activities include workshops on maternal and perinatal death data analysis in Cilacap Regency, as well as collaborative education and advocacy aimed at building stakeholder capacity. This global cooperation demonstrates UNDIP’s strong commitment to advancing community health and welfare.
