Maternity policy

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) supports women’s participation in the workforce through maternity policies aligned with national regulations. Referring to Law No. 4 of 2024 on the Welfare of Mothers and Children, women employees are entitled to up to six months of maternity leave with job protection and the right for fathers to accompany during childbirth. UNDIP implements this through its Human Resources Directorate (DSDM), which recognizes maternity leave as part of the official leave system and provides an online application platform accessible. This system allows employees to submit leave requests easily and transparently while ensuring institutional support for balancing family and career. Reinforced by Rector’s Regulation No. 13 of 2021 on the UNDIP Employment System, these frameworks reflect UNDIP’s strong commitment to inclusivity and women’s continued participation before and after childbirth.
