During 2018, UNDIP in partnership with Initiative for Regional Development and Environmental Management (IRDEM) and Mercy Corp Indonesia worked to enhance flood resilience as climate adaptation in Garang sub-district, Semarang city. The project entitled “Community Flood Resilience Endline for TRANSFORM Program in the Upstream of Garang Sub-Watershed, Central Java, Indonesia” (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg13/Community%20Flood%20Resilience%20Endline%20for%20TRANSFORM%20Program.pdf). On 29 November 2018, UNDIP and the Netherland Enterprise Agency signed a collaboration in running the project called “Water as Leverage for Resilient Cities Asia” (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg13/Water%20as%20Leverage%20for%20Resilient%20Cities%20Asia.pdf). The project particularly dealt with water challenge due to climate change and will last until 2019. In partnership with some NGOs including Witteveen + Bos, KuiperCompagnons, Sweco, Fugro, Deltares and MVO NL, UNDIP developed comparative approaches to support the urban development in Semarang towards a better and more climate resilient urban development (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg13/better%20and%20more%20climate%20resilient%20urban%20development.pdf). On March 2018, UNDIP (Coastal Rehabilitation and Disaster Mitigation Studies, CoREM) and Royal HaskoningDHV The Netherland initiated a collaborative work to further develop the ‘ROB Calendar’, which is the system or application for monitoring and predicting the rising of sea levels due to climate change (http://pkmbrp.undip.ac.id/httppkmbrp-undip-ac-idkunjungan-royal-haskoningdhv-ke-pkmbrp-undip/). The MoU was signed on 29 March 2018. In partnership with Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) Japan, UNDIP (CoREM) implemented erosion management system in Timbulsloko district, Demak Regency, Central Java Province. This erosion management and rehabilitation is crucial in the coastal area in response to climate change (http://pkmbrp.undip.ac.id/pkmbrp-undip-dan-fpik-jalin-kerjasama-dengan-satreps-bluecares-jepang-pusat-riset-kelautan-brsdm-kkp/).
