UI Greenmetric as an initiative of Universitas Indonesia aims to provide online survey result of the current condition and policies related to Green Campus and Sustainability in the Universities all over the world. This initiative becomes a ranking measurement of universities all over the world regarding to Green Campus. The ranking is expected to be able to draw the attention of university leaders and stake holders given to combat global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation.
In 2021, UI Greenmetric introduce new services to continue UI Greenmetric global work in supporting sustainable universities. These new services include Consulting, Fact File Analysis, Trees Rating, Events, and Branding. Consulting is an end-to-end service for the universities which use the service (service user universities) to give consultation about excellent in sustainability. Fact File Analysis gives service user universities detailed evaluation of the universities’ performance in UI Greenmetric Rankings. Trees Rating brings comprehensive audit to service user universities to evaluate university achievement in sustainability. The other two service provided by UI Greenmetric is Events and Branding. Events gives opportunities for service user universities to explore the latest trends with key members of the sustainability ecosystem. Branding enhances service user universities to be visible on UI Greenmetric website and social media. The service of Events and Branding give benefit for service user universities to enlarge their networks and collaboration partners.
Universitas Diponegoro as one of UI Greenmetric service user universities utilize the service to improve Undip’s works in sustainability. As a result of utilizing the service, Undip got a certificate of Four Trees rating that shows how far Undip comply the six criteria of UI Greenmetric Rankings. The certificate was handed over from UI Greenmetric to Universitas Diponegoro on Thursday, 25 November 2021 via online meeting. The certificate of four trees rating becomes a motivation for Undip to keep improving university’s action to be green and sustainable campus, and also drive Undip to do more sustainable actions for society.
