In collaboration with some international parties, UNDIP participated in gathering and measuring data for the SDGs. In 2018, UNDIP (School of Postgraduate Studies) and the Environmental Research Theme, Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) agreed to develop partnership in study and research with the topics, including, sedimentation process in relation to environmental pollution, water management, ecology and biodiversity and many more (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg17/Australian%20Nuclear%20Science%20and%20Technology%20Organisation.pdf). The collaboration is valid from 2018 to 2024. In 2018, UNDIP and ANSTO also worked together in conducting workshop on climate change (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg17/ANSTO.pdf). The workshop identified and measured the data/factors related to climate change including the policy and method to alleviate and mitigate the impact of climate change. In 2018, UNDIP made an agreement with Puls Trading Far East Limited to run the feasibility study on biomass energy utilization in textile and garment industries in Indonesia (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg17/Puls%20Trading%20Far%20East%20Limited.pdf). UNDIP and the Netherland Enterprise Agency have also signed a cooperation on 2018 to run a project “Water as Leverage for Resilient Cities Asia” (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg17/Netherland%20Enterprise%20Agency.pdf). The cooperation will last until 2019. In partnership with the University of Hawaii (UH) and the Resilience Office of the City of Semarang, UNDIP run a project to work on an urban resilience (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg17/University%20of%20Hawaii.pdf). The project aimed to develop an approach to conducting vulnerability assessments to build resilience city of Semarang. The project also dealt with flooding and flood-related issues. The agreement was signed on 2016 and will be effective until 2021. In collaboration with Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, Japan (IGES), UNDIP (Faculty of Engineering) participated in international collaboration on gathering or measuring data for the SDGs particularly in environmental issues due to climate change (https://the.undip.ac.id/download/18sdg17/Institute%20for%20Global%20Environmental%20Strategies.pdf). In 2018, UNDIP (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences) collaborated with Université Bretagne Sud, France measured land subsidence and tidal flood due to the rising of sea levels especially in Semarang region using the remote sensing method through an integrated parameter approach that was remote sensing, marine science, and geology (http://pkmbrp.undip.ac.id/mahasiswa-universite-bretagne-sud-france-selesaikan-intership-di-pkmbrp-undip/). In 2018, UNDIP (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences) and Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) also worked together in measuring and monitoring the changes in mangrove conditions, sedimentation and erosion using aerial photo data equipped with NDVI sensors (http://pkmbrp.undip.ac.id/pkmbrp-undip-dan-nioz-belanda-melakukan-penelitian-bersama/).
