Reducing plastic is very urgent nowadays since plastic is hard to break down and make the soil get polluted. Universitas Diponegoro really concerns about reducing plastic use. Therefore, Universitas Diponegoro issued a circular that amends the Deans and the Directors to do four things in order to reduce plastic use. Those four things are:
- Providing snacks and meals for meeting by using nature-friendly materials like leaf wrap or paper wrap;
- Campus canteen in Universitas Diponegoro should not use plastic as the meal’s wrapper;
- Providing drinking water dispenser and drinking glass (no plastic) in every room;
- Doing plastic use reducing campaign in each unit by using any media including social media by using tagline “Undip Go Green”.
